I’m a writer and, sometimes, a photographer. After skipping out on my MA in English two-thirds of the way through, I’m now working toward my MFA in Fiction at the University of New Hampshire. I have five tattoos. I love to travel–Florence is my favorite city, but Ireland is my second home. I have no interest in Paris. I like tea, but not coffee. Scones are pretty cool. I will buy the newest multi-hundred dollar Nintendo platform just to play new Mario games. I don’t need to be drunk to dance. Some people think I’m awesome. They are correct.

I’ve got what was called a “Polynesian turtle dagger” on my ankle, which is really just a tribal sea turtle; a heart with wings between my shoulder blades; the symbol for the zodiac sign Leo on my left forearm; and two wrist tattoos, both quotes from Virgil in Latin. One is “Fortune favors the brave,” and the other is “Love conquers all.”

I’ve only got one for now. My mum said I couldn’t get one until I was 18…. so I got it the day after my 18th birthday! Haha. It’s a bit faded now and could do with going over, but it’s a piece of music. It was my favourite song at the time and I wrote it out by ear. It’s just the first few bars and it’s on my hip
Yes, I definitely wanted them all personal–that way I wouldn’t get too sick of them! Thankfully the Virgil quotes are in Latin, so no need to worry about American vs. English spelling ha ha!
Yours sounds personal, too, and so interesting! I’ve heard of people getting a music note or some such, but to write out the bars of their favorite song–that’s awesome!
